Desirée Gagné, MA, OTR/L, C/NDT, AIB-VRC
Desiree graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She received a Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Desiree has over 20 years of experience, with specialization in stroke rehabilitation, and has worked in a variety of settings. She is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment and is a member of the Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association. She also holds a certification in vestibular rehabilitation through The American Institute of Balance and is an OTAGO trained fall prevention therapist. Desiree is a Reiki Master and incorporates using a holistic approach to therapy.
Her greatest joy is time with her family, traveling, and running. What she likes most about being an OT is the rewarding positive feeling of being able to make a difference in someone’s life.
Art Gagné, L/CPO
Art graduated from The University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. He specializes in upper extremity prosthetics and fabrication. He founded a successful central fabrication facility, Alchemy Composites, in 2011 (www.alchemycomposites.com). He enjoys troubleshooting solutions and using creative clever options in his profession.
When not busy at Rehability and Alchemy Composites, he is enjoying family time. Art also has a passion for 3D design modeling and implementing 3D printing into prosthetic and orthotic devices. Most importantly, Art takes pride in the fact that within Rehability, we can put forward therapy services alongside prosthetics and orthotics offering a true team approach under one roof.
Vladimyr Jean-Pierre, PT, DPT
Vladimyr Jean-Pierre is a licensed Physical Therapist. He holds a clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. He has practiced physical therapy in various settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health, gyms and assisted living facilities. He additionally enjoys the opportunity to volunteer his skills abroad and serve. He currently works with various companies, as needed, in Hernando, Polk, and Hillsborough counties. When not working Vladimyr enjoys bike riding, hiking trails, and being on the sunny beaches right here in Florida.
Melissa Masone, PT, DPT
Melissa Masone, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist born and raised in the greater Tampa area. She received her B.S. degree in Exercise
Science from Florida State University and a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Melissa has worked in
multiple settings including skilled nursing, outpatient, home health and assisted living facilities. Her passion is geriatric rehabilitation and
wellness for people of all ages. Melissa was a competitive athlete up through college and has been on the “other side of rehab”, which
makes her determined to do as much as she can to help her patients live their fullest life.
When not working, Melissa loves to travel, cook and bake, spend time with her husband and family and do anything that involves being outside and near the water.
Stacey Garcia, MS, PT, DPT
Stacey Garcia, MS, PT, DPT joins the Rehability family with over 17 years of experience, including specialization in Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy, having completed extensive coursework through the North American Sports Medicine Institute and St. Augustine University. She completed her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in Newark, NJ and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Stacey has over 30 years in the health and fitness industry, where she is a Certified Group Exercise Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Resistance Training Specialist. It was this love of physical fitness that lead her to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist.
In her spare time, Stacey enjoys cooking and baking, teaching Group Exercise Classes, and training for and participating in Half Marathons. She volunteers on the Medical Team for RunDisney events. She also enjoys spending time at Disney. She lives in Spring Hill with her two dogs, Maddie and Amelia.
Jenna Risher, PTA
Jenna Risher, PTA, is a graduate of the College of Central Florida associates degree program for Physical Therapist Assistant. She has 6 years of experience in skilled nursing facilities and in outpatient settings working with pediatrics, geriatrics, and special needs patients. She loves putting a smile on her patient’s face and to see her patients succeed! She is eager to continue learning here at Rehability and to provide the best care possible. On her off time, she lives to engage her 2 children to learn and play in the great outdoors of Springhill. “We do not stop exercising because we grow old – we grow old because we stop exercising.”
Cherie Barajas, Administrative Manager
Cherie graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from St. Leo University. She has over 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry with insurance, billing, and business office practices in hospital, clinical and office settings. Cherie has 10 years of experience with Orthotics and Prosthetics with expertise in Medicare policies and regulations.
Cherie’s hobbies and interests include spending time with her children and family. They love to explore Florida’s historical sites and nature, frequenting the beaches and amusement parks.
Cherie enjoys the process of seeing someone transform from scared of the unknown to walking out with confidence and satisfaction- “that’s freedom; that’s life-changing!”
Holly Hawkins, Activation/Insurance Specialist
Holly joins the Rehability with experience in the Dental Health field. She enjoys working with patients and assisting them with any scheduling and insurance needs.
Holly has 2 children and enjoys spending time with them and being involved in their activities. Her hobbies include working out at the gym. She especially enjoys nature and animals. Any extra opportunities are spent out on the water kayaking or boating.
